= About us =
Nikan (Nicotine Alliance Norway) is a non-profit organization that works for the recognition of smokeless nicotine products as less harmful alternatives.

We work to ensure that products such as steam (e-cigarettes), snuff and "heat-not-burn" are recognized as good alternatives for those who smoke today, and we will help and guide everyone who seeks advice on such products, as well as market options actively.

In addition, we will help to inform about already recognized drugs NRT (nicotine chewing gum, etc.) as a smoking cessation method.

Everyone can support our business by passing on our message and possibly donating money to our work. We do not recruit members, but we want to work with everyone who works for the same goal as us.

Purpose:

* Work for the recognition of smokeless nicotine products as less harmful alternatives.
* Work with peer help to quit smoking and reduce harm by using other nicotine products.
* Work for the availability of less harmful and safer nicotine intake methods.
* Provide accurate information about the harm potential of different nicotine intake methods.

Our target groups are primarily smokers, but we will also run information activities aimed at the general population, health professionals, retailers of the products in question, the media, as well as politicians and bureaucrats.
