== Purpose ==
This template is used on [[Help:Using talk pages|talk pages]] to ask other users to [[Wikipedia:Notifications|ping]] the poster with any reply. It would normally be placed just before the poster's signature.

This template '''must''' be [[Wikipedia:Substitution|substituted]] with the subst: keyword for it to work properly.

== Usage and examples ==
The most common usage is simply <code><nowiki>{{subst:Request ping}}</nowiki></code>

which renders as

Where "<Current user name>" is transformed into to the username of the user saving the edit; the template substitutes the [[WP:MAGICWORD|magic word]] {{tl|REVISIONUSER}}.

<code><nowiki>{{subst:Request ping|Example|cond=you want to talk}}</nowiki></code>
