Kodak Moment originated as an advertising slogan for the Eastman Kodak Company in which meaningful occasions were portrayed as worthy of a photograph. The term gained a new meaning when the company's slow reaction to the development of digital photography led to its eventual demise. It now refers to any large, successful company's failure to adapt to a disruptive change in the industry.
