People Who Use Safer Nicotine to avoid toxic forms of tobacco - we do not accept the language of our oppressors.

What people do not seem to understand is that this is not a battle between tobacco control and evil industry.

There are real human beings involved, with lived-experience. Many in tobacco control clearly have zero empathy for us.

So let me, a Person Who Uses Safer Nicotine, explain you the correct language:

  1. "Nicotine vape" (noun; to distinguish from THC vape; people are now deliberately confusing the public by claiming that it is possible to vape THC in an "e-cigarette"... it is not).
  2. "Safer nicotine" (patches, gum, vapes, snus, pouches, HTPs).
  3. "Harm reduction."
  4. "Nicotine harm reduction" (not tobacco harm reduction, because many safer nicotine products are clearly not tobacco products; and because no one calls opioid harm reduction "poppy harm reduction").
  5. "Therapeutic nicotine"... because safer nicotine alternatives are associated with massive health benefits including smoking cessation, reduced risk of Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease, weight control, and reduced symptoms of ADHD, Asperger's, autism, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, sleep apnea, Crone's disease and many more...

Note that most of the studies demonstrating therapeutic nicotine benefits tested nicotine patches. People don't want the public to know this because they are intent on demonising this non-intoxicating mild stimulant.

Now people can enjoy the benefits of nicotine via vape, snus, NicPouches, nicotine sprays or HTP with a low risk of adverse effects.
