Template:R category with possibilities/doc

Please do not convert this rcat to the "{{Redirect template}}", which would make it unstable for use on soft category redirects.

Usage

Use this rcat template only in the category namespace.

• Use this redirect category (rcat) template for any category (soft) redirect that, in your opinion, may stand alone as a category title that potentially could be populated as a separate category. Important to note that category redirects, when tagged with this rcat, will appear as subcategories in Category:Category redirects with possibilities, not as normal page entries.
• Apply this rcat to a category redirect in the following manner:

{{category redirect|(target page name)}}

{{R category with possibilities}}

This is in accord with the instructions found at Wikipedia:REDCAT.

• If a redirect in the category namespace is tagged with this rcat, then Category:Category redirects with possibilities is populated. If the redirect is in any other namespace, then Category:Pages with templates in the wrong namespace will be populated, so be sure to use this rcat to tag only category pages.
